Benita Green is a Registered Psychologist who has been at Ringwood Psychology since 2018. She is a much appreciated member of our team and was somewhat ‘pursued’, knowing she was a perfect fit for our team and for our clients. Benita is an experienced psychologist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a PhD from Melbourne University.
In addition to her training as a Psychologist, Benita has a strong background in education. She enjoys her current simultaneous work in a university setting in the area of Psychological Sciences. Benita completed her PhD investigating aspects of language and child development in middle primary school aged children.
Benita enjoys a challenge in her therapy approach. She is passionate about her work with adults resolving childhood trauma, and still enjoys the origins of her training working with children.
Benita has a gentle approach to treatment, but balances this with calmly holding clients accountable. She has a very practical approach to therapy and has an extensive range of skills and techniques to teach clients skills to manage their symptoms, such as those associated with anxiety and depression. She draws on a range of therapeutic techniques appropriate to the needs of each client. Her therapies include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness.

What is a Provisional Psychologist? Lien has completed the initial four years of University training to become a psychologist.
